Amp: Social Copywriting

I was brought on by Mustache Agency to be one of the core team members for Amazonβs newly launched community radio app, Amp, where I led all organic and paid copywriting for its diverse audience (from everyone to music lovers, to sports commentators). My responsibilities included conceptualizing weekly promotional content for both talent-led radio shows (including the likes of Nicki Minaj, Nick Cannon, Zach Sang, and Kandi Burruss) and community-led shows from influencers within hip-hop and R&B.
Our team successfully delivered culturally relevant content that catered to music stans and helped bring in new users by promoting the accessibility of the app in innovative ways. One of my biggest tasks included writing scripts for social using audio from radio shows, identifying the most valuable sound bites and turning them into their own, unique pieces of content.
I worked closely with the agency social media manager and designers to write content that was timely to events that we anticipated would trend on social based on audience behavior.
